“Knowledge becomes power only when shared with purpose.”

About Me
I’m Sokhuon, a Cambodian advocate, writer, and Honorary Research Fellow at the Institute for Contemporary Chinese Studies (ICCS), under Mahatma Gandhi University, India. My research focuses on Southeast Asian politics, governance, and international relations, with a strong focus on law, democracy, and development.
As the founder and publisher of Sokhuon Insights, my mission is to bridge the gap between complex academic research and public understanding—making critical thinking and evidence-based perspectives accessible and engaging for all.
My academic work is informed by over a decade of hands-on experience in legal advocacy, youth empowerment, and community development across Cambodia, Thailand, and Bangladesh. I have worked alongside civil society organizations and legal institutions to promote inclusive governance and strengthen democratic participation throughout Southeast Asia.
I’m passionate about transforming rigorous academic knowledge into compelling, real-world narratives that inspire civic engagement, policy dialogue, and regional cooperation. Through research, mentoring, and policy engagement, I strive to help build a more just, informed, and interconnected society.
